Coimbra, Portugal, June 21-24.
The Workskop on Operator Theory, Complex Analysis, and Applications 2016 / WOTCA 2016 will take place in the Department of Mathematics of the University of Coimbra, Portugal, on 21-24 June 2016.
It aims to bring together researchers working in Operator Theory, Complex Analysis, and their applications, and to create an opportunity to highlight the current state of the art in these fields, present open problems and engage in fruitful discussions. Connections with Linear Algebra will also be emphasized.
The programme will consist of several invited 25+5 minute talks and a poster session. A list of speakers is available here.
WOTCA 2016 has no registration fee and is open to everybody interested, but the number of participants will be restricted to a maximum of 50, in order to foster dialogue in a friendly atmosphere. Participation of young researchers and students is most welcome, and we hope this will also encourage contact between leading mathematicians and younger ones.
This meeting is supported by CAMGSD/Center for Mathematical Analysis, Geometry and Dynamical Systems of Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, and CMUC/Center for Mathematics of the University of Coimbra.
The organisers thank Rui Barreiros Duarte for the authorisation to reproduce his drawing of Coimbra which appeared in http://saltofportugal.com/category/places-to-visit/coimbra/ .
